Lecturer, Construction Administration; Senior Project Manager, Turner & Townsend

Ian M. Taylor is a Senior Project Manager at Turner & Townsend and is a lecturer of the Construction Cost Estimating & Bidding Strategies course at Columbia SPS Construction Administration Program.  He also serves as a member of the Program Steering Committee for the Construction Administration Program, and for the SPS’ Alumni Advisory Board.  He has been involved in the NYC Interior Construction Market for the past 7 years, and has undergone a series of different roles and responsibilities including an Estimator, a Procurement Agent, a Field Engineer and a Project Manager.  Recently, he has been involved with Columbia’s Manhattanville Campus expansion, liaising directly with potential M/WBE Contractors within the NYC Construction Market & leading them down the path of becoming Pre-Qualified with some of the city’s largest Construction Managers.  As a former alumni of the Construction Administration Program, he continues to seek opportunities to deliver cutting edge content & knowledge to his Student Base at the University.
