Student Intern, Career Design Lab; Sports Management
Sebastian Turner is a third semester student pursuing his Master of Science in Sport Management from Columbia University. He is originally from Chile, where he obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in law from the Universidad de Los Andes in Santiago (Chile).
He has 5 years of working experience in real estate and corporate law sector in Chile. After that, he led a team building project focused on the “Escape Room” concept, mainly for corporate and sports industries. He started his journey in sports management working in the Chilean Rugby Union as an event and project manager and last year he had the opportunity to work in the Tennis US Open 2020 in the guest/players access team.
In college, he spent most of the time playing competitive sports, mainly rugby, which gave him the opportunity to build strong relationships and appreciate the value of teamwork. Sebastian represented Chile’s National Rugby Team, playing at two Junior World Cups and South American Championships with the seven a side team.
In his free time, Sebastian enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures. He likes to practice sports such as running, soccer, rugby and water skiing; always open to learn a new one.
