Saakshi Lodha

Student Intern, Career Design Lab

Saakshi Lodha is a graduate student, majoring in Actuarial Science at SPS, Columbia University. She’s from Pune, India and has a background in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, which makes her proficient in many software and programming languages.

She has experience in the actuarial and investment management fields with multiple internships, the most recent being the property & casualty track at Milliman, an actuarial consulting company.

She has also passed multiple actuarial exams and is aiming towards an ASA and CFA designation.

Saakshi is also very active in the Non-Profit community and started her own NGO, Idhant, in 2018, which works towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. Her startup has over 700 followers and 350 volunteers in India.

At Columbia, Saakshi has been in the leadership position for bi-weekly Proseminars and is an active member of the Actuarial Society of Columbia University. She also acts as a mentor for incoming students and has been the Career Design Lab Intern for Spring & Fall 2020. 

As a CDL Intern, she’s highly motivated towards the betterment of all SPS programs and is constantly working towards cross-program integration and community building at SPS. She enjoys meeting new people, reading, and traveling.
