Clarence Coaxum

Associate Director of Finance and Administration at the Society of Fellows and Heyman Center for the Humanities at Columbia University

Clarence Coaxum is the Associate Director of Finance and Administration at the Society of Fellows and Heyman Center for the Humanities at Columbia University. In his current role, Clarence manages all financial, administrative, and human resource operations for the SoF/Heyman, Society of Senior Scholars, and Friends of the Heyman Center. Clarence holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University, where he teaches a Negotiation course and a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution Studies from Nova Southeastern University. 

Clarence resides in New York City with his family, where he has recently become a certified mediator to help empower his local community by cultivating an understanding of peace through the use of conflict resolution skills.
