Carolyn Hou
Founder, Arlo Labs; Women In Innovation New York Chapter Lead
Carolyn Hou is an applied anthropologist and founder of Arlo Labs, a boutique research and strategy consultancy focused on product and service innovation for healthcare and tech companies. She uses ethnographic research and design thinking methodologies to think creatively and strategically about how to humanize and solve complex problems. Her work has led to multiple award-winning designs on the market.
Carolyn received her Master’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Oxford and her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Smith College. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU and the New York Chapter Lead for the global non-profit, Women in Innovation.
