Online Information Session: M.S. in Human Capital Management

The M.S. in Human Capital Management program prepares graduates to address any organization’s human capital challenges through data-driven, market-based insights, and organization-wide integrated solutions.

Topic: Performance Management - Can we do any better?

Companies spend a great deal of time trying to get their Performance Management systems right -- after all, assessing how people do their jobs, helping them develop and rewarding them for their performance are critical to any organization's success.

Yet, many organizations are dissatisfied with their Performance Management system. In fact, according to a study published by Deloitte in 2017, 79% of executives rate the redesign of performance management a high priority (Sloan, Nathan, Dimple Agarwal, Stacia Garr, and Karen Pastakia. "Performance Management: Playing a Winning Hand." 2017 Global Human Capital Trends, Deloitte University Press)

Dr. Steve Safier, a full time lecturer in our M.S. in Human Capital Management program, will discuss the challenges involved in deploying a meaningful Performance Management system, and how these challenges reflect the ways we have managed to work in the past. Dr. Safier will also describe the keys to solving these challenges to support how work gets done today, in a world that demands agility, and measurement and ongoing talent development.
