Carol Lo

Lecturer, American Language Program

Carol Lo has worked in the ESL profession since 2007 and has been teaching at the ALP since 2013. Beginning her career teaching A-Level Use of English in Hong Kong, Lo has taught and developed courses on sociolinguistic, academic English, advanced speaking courses at CUNY, Stevens Institute of Technology, and the Community English Program at Teachers College.

Lo has presented her research at major local and international conferences, including American Association of Applied Linguistics (AAAL), National Communication Association (NCA), International Association of Applied Linguistics (AILA), and International Society for Gesture Studies (ISGS). She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Applied Linguistics at Teachers College, Columbia University with a special interest in classroom interaction.
