Craig Swaisgood
Head of Data and Analytics, NY Mets; Lecturer, Sports Management
Craig Swaisgood is the Head of Data and Analytics for the New York Mets, where he is responsible for data analytics, market research, data science, and business intelligence. Between this role and his previous one with the Houston Astros, he has used data with the full suite of business units to understand and enhance the fan experience, while informing and increasing revenue generation.
Before he started with the Mets, he collected more than 15 years of experience developing a data-informed and people-driven approach through expertise in the public sector, sports, finance, and consulting. Throughout his career, he has learned: data analytics during a stint for a Washington, D.C. mayor; research and market dynamics through his time in consulting; and how technology connects it all together while at the White House (Obama Administration).
Craig earned his MPA from New York University, and a B.A. in political science from the University of South Carolina. He lives in New Jersey with wife Sarah, daughter Shiloh, and dog Scully (named after the late great Vin Scully).
