Dana El Khoury
M.S. in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution
Dana El Khoury is a Lebanese-Ukrainian graduate student who will graduate in the Fall of '25 with her M.S. in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (NECR) from Columbia University. She previously served as the Research Officer of the student group Association for Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (ANCoRS) & also as the NECR Student Representative on the SPS Student Government.
She graduated with High Distinction from the Lebanese American University, earning a dual degree in Economics and Political Science/International Affairs, and received three awards upon graduation for her leadership and research.
Dana's research interests include conflict resolution in the Middle East, peacekeeping, and the socio-political dynamics affecting global diplomacy. She has researched topics such as U.S. mediation in Israel-Palestine, U.S.-Russian interests in Syria, and economic challenges in MENA oil-exporting countries. Professionally, Dana worked as a Senior Reinsurance Broker in the War and Terrorism Department at Chedid Re and interned at The Phoenix Daily, where she published five research articles on economic and political issues.
She has held various leadership roles, including NECR Student Representative at Columbia, President of the Human Rights Club at the Lebanese American University, board member of ANCoRS, and board member of We Raise - Banque Alimentaire NGO. Dana aspires to work in conflict zones and peacekeeping missions, particularly in the Middle East, to contribute to fostering peace and stability, giving a voice to those silenced by oppression.
