American Caste

This Dalit History Month, join us as we commemorate Babasaheb BR Ambedkar's lifelong commitment to the transformative power of education for remaking social ethics and democratic life through a focus on American Caste. Our convening addresses the recent movement to focalize the experiences of caste-oppressed persons in the South Asian diaspora and the social movements that have arisen to address caste equality, respect, and mutuality in its wake.

The conference will take place in person and on Zoom. If you sign up to attend in person, please head to Pulitzer Hall, Columbia University, 2950 Broadway (southeast corner of 116th & Broadway)
