The Fall 2022 Capital-Raising Competition - Submission Deadline

Columbia ERM Program has arranged a new competition in association with Castle Placement.

Key Dates

October 13 – Deadline to submit slides (SUBMISSION DEADLINE)
October 31 – Deadline to submit videos
November 4 – Finals via Zoom

Rules

• Participants can submit individually or as part of a team.
• Teams can be two to four participants.
• Each team will create a five-slide investor presentation on their company or business idea. (Example available)
• Castle will determine the four finalists based on slide presentations.
• The four finalists will create a 60-second video on their company or idea. The video can be anything the finalists choose talking about the product, showing the product, animation, etc.
• Each finalist will play their 60-second video, present for three minutes, and take questions from the judges and audience.
• Winners announced at the end of the competition.
• Judges: prominent institutional investors (PE firms, VC firms, etc.) selected by Castle, ERM Program Director Sim Segal,
and a Castle representative.

Prizes

• All entrants receive a free listing on castleplacement.com.
• Winner receives free access to CPGOapp.com — Castle Placement’s capital-raising app.

(If the winner of the competition accepts the prize there may be an income tax effect. Please consult with your tax professional.)
