Amyre Brandom-Skinner

Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Representative, SPS Student Government

Amyre Brandom-Skinner is a first-year Master's degree candidate in the SPS’ Negotiation and Conflict Resolution program at Columbia University. She is an alumna of the illustrious Xavier University of Louisiana. During her undergraduate experience, she co-founded HBCU Students for Disaster Relief, served within the New Orleans community and throughout her historically black and university (HBCU) campus. She looks forward to developing more social and academic events catered to the NECR students. Amyre hopes to create a better transition experience for the next cohort of NECR students and strengthen the connections between this program’s students. Amyre’s driven personality and easily-recognized raspy voice have granted her access into spaces that aid her in elevating the voices of people of color. She hopes to continue this work as a Columbia University HBCU fellow, Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Fellow, and NECR’s Student Government Representative.
