Hezekiah Williams

Sustainability Management Representative, SPS Student Government; Student Representative, DEIA Committee

Hezekiah Williams is a native of Edwards, MS, and a first-year, Master's Candidate in Sustainability Management. He is the Sustainability Management Representative, the SPS Diversity Ambassador, and he serves on the Health Committee. He received his Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering. His educational goals are to obtain his Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering-Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, to which, he has already committed. In undergrad, he gained work experience as a student researcher for the Mississippi IDeA Networks Biomedical Research Excellence (MS-INBRE) Program where he investigated liver ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI). He continued this research at Jackson State University where he applied machine learning to predict the status of liver IRI surgeries. He also served as the project manager for his NASA internship team at Kennedy Space Center, where his team competed and won the competition. Presently, he continues his liver ischemia research to save lives in the healthcare industry.
