Robert Beaven, Chief Operating Officer at Jennifer Brown Consulting, a global diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) firm, joined Nabeel Ahmad's Organizational Strategy & Learning class to discuss the role DEI plays in driving an organization's learning agenda.

During the highly interactive hour-long session, Mr. Beaven fielded questions from students around where DEI initiatives succeed and fail, while providing examples of vulnerability from his personal and professional life.

Mr. Beaven also outlined the importance of DEI learning initiatives to avoid being a "check-the-box" activity and how, when properly executed, such activities can create a learning culture across the organization.
