Hassan Riggs, Information and Knowledge Strategy ’14 (capstone completion ’13), a B2B Marketing and Integrated Insights manager at Hilton Worldwide, was honored as one of "100 Men of Distinction" through Black Enterprise’s Modern Man program.
Riggs was highlighted for many reasons, including his contributions to his community, where he volunteers and mentors at-risk students and works to give these kids more opportunities. He also has smart insight into the workplace, and shares his core beliefs on how to be a leader and to make a difference in the world:
Today’s leaders are hands-on. It’s hard for me to imagine the leaders in my department at Hilton, cloistered behind an office door. They are down in the trenches, taking an active part in the work. That’s what makes for great leadership: head, heart, and hands.
