Michael Leibrock

Part-Time Lecturer

Michael has served as Lecturer in the ERM Program for seven years, teaching courses in Financial Risk Management, Credit Risk Management and Risk Regulations in Finance.

Michael previously served as Managing Director, Head of Counterparty Credit Risk and Systemic Risk at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), responsible for the identification and monitoring of potential systemic threats to DTCC, actively engaging with DTCC clients and regulators on systemic risk topics and producing periodic industry white papers and other thought leadership products.  Michael was also responsible for all counterparty credit risk originating from DTCC’s clearing agencies covering equities and fixed income securities.  He served as a member of DTCC’s Model Risk Governance Committee, Stress Testing Committee, Management Risk Committee and co-chair of the Systemic Risk Council.

Prior to DTCC, Leibrock held several senior risk management roles including Chief Counterparty Risk Officer at Fannie Mae and Head of Financial Institutions Credit Risk for Commerzbank A.G..
