Martin Epstein

Martin Epstein teaches "Introduction to Negotiation" in the Negotiation and Conflict Resolution master’s program at Columbia University. He also has taught "Conflict Resolution" at Pace University.

Epstein has been practicing Non-Violent Communication (NVC) since 2002. He facilitated a core team at Medgar Evers College in understanding and practicing “customer service” throughout the college community. Epstein has given workshops at the UN, New Hope Community Center, The Center for Mind, Body Medicine, The Center for Women’s Health, and The Natural Gourmet Culinary School. He brought NVC in the form of Collaborative Communication to an investment bank and facilitated weekly trainings. In 2009–2010, Epstein worked with a team of NVC professionals on a project for a major pharmaceutical company that included many hours of training and coaching.

Epstein has taught a number of classes at The NY Open Center and the JCC on the Upper West Side as well as offered individual sessions. In addition, he has been teaching an introductory Sanskrit course for the last 20 years. As Principal of Effective Conversation, he uses his many years of experience and training to offer his services in mediation, coaching, teaching, and training corporate teams, groups, couples, and individuals.
