Hassan Khouli, M.D.

Chief, Critical Care Section, Department of Medicine, St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals; Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University

Since 2000, Dr. Hassan Khouli has been the Chairperson of the Medical Ethics Committee at St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals, where he led the Hospital Multidisciplinary Critical Care Committee and implemented several clinical programs that resulted in improved patient safety and outcomes. In 2007, he directed the development of the Center for Advanced Medical Simulation at St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals. 

Khouli has been an invited lecturer both regionally and nationally. He is on the advisory board and committees of several regional and national organizations and societies. He is a member of the New York State Task Force on Life and the Law. He has directed several local and regional symposiums and has received several teaching and community awards. Khouli has received several research grants and has published over 50 peer-reviewed research papers, clinical abstracts, and book chapters.
