In this webinar, we will be discussing our trajectory in doing fieldwork for social transformation in conflict-ridden communities, especially with and among youth leaders. We have developed an innovative approach to address the most pressing social issues in places that are in conflict, transitioning out of conflict, or in post-conflict scenarios. More specifically, we will share some of the insights we are exploring in our forthcoming book, Theory and Practice Redefined: A Field Guide for Social Transformation. In our discussion, we will address questions concerning the ethics and best practices of doing fieldwork, how to work in partnerships and in a participatory fashion, the importance of networks to sustain change, and how to conduct fieldwork remotely in extraordinary circumstances, such as the current one.
