Understanding Identity & Combating Oppression: An Introduction to Building Socially

Through a series of interactive exercises, this session explores the social identities that can impact how we define ourselves and how we are defined by others. Participants will examine the systemic nature of oppression and consider how identity-based oppression manifests institutionally, interpersonally, and internally. The session will introduce an anti-oppressive leadership framework and provide follow-up tools that participants can utilize to inform their professional practice.
