Professor of Physics & Mathematics, and best-selling author (The Elegant UniverseUntil the End of Time), Brian Greene shares insights and ideas with Faith Salie, Emmy-winning contributor to CBS News Sunday Morning, regular on NPR’s Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!, and host of five seasons of the PBS show, Science Goes To The Movies. The conversation will explore our collective understanding of the earliest beginnings of the universe, what science can tell us about the very far future, and how this influences the long-standing human search for meaning.

Brian Greene is a professor of Physics and Mathematics at Columbia University, and Director of Columbia’s Center for Theoretical Physics. He is recognized for a number of groundbreaking discoveries in mathematical physics and superstring theory. Professor Greene’s books, The Elegant UniverseThe Fabric of the CosmosThe Hidden Reality, and Until the End of Time, have collectively spent 67 weeks on The New York Times bestseller list and sold over two million copies worldwide. Professor Greene is a frequent guest on late night television and was the host of two award-winning NOVA mini-series based on his books. He also wrote and performed in Light Falls, a live theatrical exploration of Einstein’s discoveries, which was broadcast nationally on PBS. Together with Tracy Day, Professor Greene co-founded the World Science Festival and serves as Chairman of the Board.

Faith Salie is an Emmy-winning contributor to CBS Sunday Morning and a regular on NPR’s Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! She’s hosted five seasons of PBS’s Science Goes to the Movies and she's the author of Approval Junkie, which will debut Off-Broadway as a solo show in 2021.
