Manoj Panjwani has over 25 years of international financial services experience in developed and emerging markets across Asia, Europe and North America. As a member of HSBC’s International Management cadre, Manoj has held several senior leadership positions in wholesale and retail banking, strategy, and risk management.

Beyond financial services, Manoj is engaged in the social enterprise sector and highly motivated to apply his skills, capabilities, and experience to support initiatives in impact investing, education, sustainability, and the broader nonprofit space.

Over the past decade, Manoj has specialized in Risk & Compliance. His risk expertise includes driving change and transformation, setting and leading the Risk agenda, establishing a robust Risk Appetite and Governance framework, and embedding a sustainable Risk Culture. Underpinning this risk expertise is deep experience in business and strategy, where his responsibilities have included strategy development and implementation, management of distribution channels, client relationship, and driving revenue growth. Through membership of key executive committees, Manoj is well-versed with corporate governance requirements.

Manoj currently serves as Adjunct Faculty at Columbia University’s School of Professional Services where in addition to teaching, he engages in student and alumni activities. He also serves on the board of Knology, a research-driven think tank dedicated to studying and untangling complex social issues. In addition, Manoj is a member of Impact Capital Forum in NYC, Columbia Sustainable Finance Professionals Network, and the NYC Chapter of Risk Management Association.
