Michael Nwachukwu is a 2025 co-valedictorian and graduate of Morgan State University, where he earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Information Systems and Marketing. He is currently pursuing his M.S. in Enterprise Risk Management at Columbia University as an HBCU Fellow.
A U.S. Army veteran and entrepreneur, Michael is the founder of GT Consulting, a firm focused on helping small businesses strengthen their operations and strategy, and the Mojo Cares Foundation, a nonprofit focused on empowering individuals and strengthening communities through mentorship, education, outreach, and career development. Through its four program pillars—H.O.P.E., Catalyst, Pillar, and Bridge Builder—the foundation supports women rebuilding their lives after violence or hardship, provides community outreach and education, creates mentorship and leadership opportunities for young Black men, and helps individuals advance professionally through career readiness, networking, and professional development.
At Columbia, Michael is focused on deepening his understanding of enterprise risk, business strategy, and sustainable development while continuing to grow initiatives centered on opportunity and community impact. Beyond academics and entrepreneurship, his interests include fitness, fashion, travel, and creative content production, which he uses as outlets for storytelling, culture, and self-expression.
