Markus Kuhn

Markus Kuhn is a former NFL player, international sports executive, broadcaster, and graduate of Columbia University’s Sports Management program. Originally from Mannheim, Germany, Kuhn moved to the United States to play college football at North Carolina State University before being selected by the New York Giants in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Kuhn spent four seasons with the Giants and later joined the New England Patriots. In 2014, he made history as the first German-born player to score a touchdown in the NFL. Following his playing career, Kuhn earned his master’s degree in Sports Management from Columbia University in 2019, beginning the next chapter of his career in the sports business. Since transitioning from the field, Kuhn has worked across the sports industry, including roles involving the NFL, NFL Players Association, and the business operations of NFL organizations. He has also become a prominent NFL analyst and broadcaster in Germany, helping bring the league to a growing international audience. In addition, Kuhn has advised Bundesliga clubs on their North American strategies and worked on international player development and sports-business initiatives. Kuhn currently serves as President of the European Football Alliance, bringing his experience as a player, broadcaster, and sports-business executive to the continued development of American football in Europe. His career offers a unique perspective on the intersection of professional sports, international expansion, media, and the business of football.
