Dylan Colvin

Dylan was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She holds a B.A. in Women's Studies, a Master of Humanities, and a M.A. in English from Wright State University. She is currently finishing her dissertation in the Rhetoric and Professional Communication program at New Mexico State University where she is interested in mediated encounters as a rhetorical approach to help us reimagine the university ecosystem by making visible networks of learning that expose movements or blockages in which we can create alternative approaches that center place, care, play, and a speculative optimism. Dylan is committed to making higher education legible to everyone from students to community neighbors. Dylan loves living in New York City with her partner and son. She enjoys exploring new playgrounds with her toddler, reading, watching all sorts of sports, strolling through Central Park, and hosting dinner parties.
