Benjamin Perlman
Managing Director and Head of ERM, ORIX USA
Ben Perlman is a risk management professional with over thirty years' experience in Insurance, Finance and Capital markets.
Ben is currently a Managing Director and the Head of Enterprise Risk Management at ORIX USA, where he is responsible for building out the ERM function and for identifying/mitigating all risks throughout the organization.
Prior to joining ORIX, Ben served as Chief Risk Officer for Investments and Credit at Genworth Financial. In this role, he led a team focused on the risk management of the Investment portfolio as well as the credit risk across the organization.
Prior to Genworth, he served as Vice President of Capital Markets Risk Management at Fannie Mae, where he was responsible for the oversight of a $150 billion investment portfolio and for managing Fannie Mae’s liquidity position.
His earlier career includes nearly 10 years in structured finance risk at GE Capital and more than 10 years in commercial real estate at First Union.
