Dr. Paul J. Bailo is a C-suite executive, artificial intelligence and digital transformation strategist, educator, author, inventor, and entrepreneur whose career bridges technology, business strategy, analytics, leadership, and human behavior. He serves as CEO of PIP Consulting Group International and President and Founder of Landit.ai, an award-winning artificial intelligence platform advancing interview readiness, emotional-intelligence analysis, communication effectiveness, and career development. Landit.ai has received three Gold Awards for innovation and impact.

Dr. Bailo has extensive experience applying artificial intelligence, natural language processing, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and customer intelligence to real-world business challenges. His work focuses on helping organizations move beyond AI experimentation to achieve measurable results through better decisions, redesigned workflows, stronger customer experiences, innovative products, and sustainable growth. Central to his approach is the belief that AI should augment human judgment, creativity, accountability, emotional intelligence, and leadership.

At Columbia University, Dr. Bailo serves as a Lecturer in the M.S. in Project Management program. His graduate teaching connects academic research with contemporary executive practice in artificial intelligence, applied analytics, digital transformation, innovation, strategic communication, and executive project leadership. He prepares students to identify valuable AI applications, assess organizational and ethical risks, lead technology-enabled change, and make responsible decisions in complex project environments.

Dr. Bailo incorporates Landit.ai into his experiential teaching methodology, enabling students to practice professional communication, evaluate their performance, receive personalized feedback, reflect on their development, and strengthen their leadership presence. This assess-practice-feedback-reflect-improve model helps students convert academic knowledge into practical capabilities for leading projects and organizations in an AI-enabled economy.

Throughout his career, Dr. Bailo has built high-performing teams, launched new ventures, designed innovative products, and led complex transformation initiatives. His expertise includes AI strategy, digital transformation, business development, growth strategy, customer experience, emerging payments, operational excellence, organizational change, product innovation, and data-driven decision-making.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Bailo led PIP Consulting Group International’s response efforts, helping to protect and save an estimated three million lives. This work demonstrates his commitment to applying leadership, data, innovation, and technology to challenges with significant human and societal consequences.

Dr. Bailo’s blue-chip professional experience includes leadership, consulting, and advisory engagements involving Mastercard, American Express, GE, Citibank, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, AT&T, Apple, Google, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the New York City Transit Authority, and the United States Department of Transportation.

Previously, Dr. Bailo was a founding member and Global Head of Digital Strategy and Innovation for Infosys Digital. He developed growth strategies, designed enterprise solutions, introduced innovative digital platforms, and advised senior executives and Fortune 500 clients. His work helped organizations use emerging technologies, analytics, and customer intelligence to modernize operations, improve market position, and generate measurable business value.

Dr. Bailo also consulted with Mastercard as Vice President of Global Digital Innovation and Emerging Payments, where he advanced digital commerce, product innovation, strategic partnerships, sales strategy, target marketing, and market growth. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles in customer insights, data analysis, digital technology, web operations, product development, and e-business solutions.

Recognized for combining strategic vision with disciplined execution, Dr. Bailo has directed multinational business expansion, strategic planning, P&L and budget management, organizational assessment, process improvement, talent development, succession planning, and large-scale change. He is particularly skilled at aligning people, technology, data, and business strategy to produce measurable organizational results.

In addition to Columbia University, Dr. Bailo has taught graduate, executive, and professional courses at New York University, Cornell University, Rice University, and institutions within the City University of New York. He previously led the development of Mercy College’s Managerial Analytics program, which became one of the institution’s fastest-growing majors. His classrooms are distinguished by their integration of executive experience, current business challenges, and applied AI and analytics.

Dr. Bailo has served as a United Nations Advisor on Digital Transformation and as an executive advisor to government and institutional leaders in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, and Argentina, as well as the Central Bank of Nigeria and Drexel University. His international advisory work has addressed digital innovation, economic modernization, organizational leadership, and enterprise transformation.

An accomplished inventor and thought leader, Dr. Bailo holds eight United States patents and has authored three internationally distributed business books. His insights have been featured by CNN, The Wall Street Journal, TIME, Forbes, Fortune, Business Insider, USA Today, CNBC, Bloomberg, Fast Company, MarketWatch, Fox News, The Globe and Mail, The Muse, Money, and CBS News.

He has delivered keynote presentations and executive lectures for the Yale School of Management and executive teams at MB Bank, Mastercard, and NatWest. He was also recognized as a Product Fair Winner at the University of Cambridge International Marketing and Technology Competition.

Dr. Bailo earned a Ph.D. in International Leadership and Innovation from the International School of Management, an MBA in Marketing and Technology from Wagner College, an MSW in Clinical Social Work and Human Behavior from Fordham University, and a BS in Finance and Technology from St. John’s University. He also holds graduate diplomas in Management Information Systems from Columbia University and Banking from Georgetown University.

Dr. Bailo earned Six Sigma Black Belt certification through GE and is a North American Master Champion with Toastmasters International. His multidisciplinary expertise enables him to understand transformation through the interconnected perspectives of business strategy, artificial intelligence, analytics, finance, technology, leadership, and human behavior.
