Janet L. Walsh, DBA

Dr. Janet L. Walsh is CEO and President of Birchtree Global and Birchtree Performance HR (BPHR). Birchtree Global helps organizations build profitable, sustainable operations across borders, while BPHR transforms human capital into measurable financial value. With on-the-ground experience in 87 countries and all 50 states, Dr. Walsh has led global teams across legal, finance, HR, and tax and held senior HR executive roles in Fortune 250 and billion-dollar multinational companies.

Dr. Janet L. Walsh is an award-winning thought leader in global market entry and human capital financial performance. Her honors include the Explorers Club’s Sweeney Medal (2026), selection as a Phoenix Luminary (2026)—one of 86 honorees among more than one million graduates and multiple outstanding research and global leadership Awards.   In 2024 she was honored at the Faculty and Scholars program at NYIT and was the co-chair of the 2024 CME-STEM Leadership Awards. She is also the architect of the World Trade Center global market entry training program and a recognized researcher on organizational performance and leadership.

She is the 2026 President of the Irish Business Organization of New York.  She serves on The Human Resources Certification Institute Board of Directors on the Finance Committee, the D’Oyly Carte Foundation Board of Directors, Robert Piguet Parfumes Board of Directors, and is the US CEO of NicoBloc.  She previously served on The Explorers Club Board of Directors as Chair of Ethics and Governance, and the Management Committee.

An avid artist, her watercolors have hung in the Booth Museum of Western Art.  She is a division winning equestrian regularly competing in hunter and dressage events.  As an amateur archeologist she found and excavated three hitherto unknown Mid-Archaic-Woodland period sites.

Dr. Walsh holds a BA in Economics from Bucknell University, an MBA from Loyola University and a DBA from the University of Phoenix.  She speaks Spanish, French, and Japanese.
