Joseph A. D'Amico
Deputy Program Director, M.S. Project Management
Joseph began his career at the internationally renowned think tank, The Council on Foreign Relations, where he worked both on their flagship periodical Foreign Affairs magazine and as the lead of their custom academic publishing program. From there, he moved to award-winning book publisher Henry Holt, negotiating author agreements and licensing contracts, while obtaining his MS in Publishing from New York University.
Joseph discovered his love of project management soon thereafter in his next role at nonprofit learning organization, the American Management Association (AMA.) Starting out in rights and licensing, he quickly developed an interest in project management, eventually serving as both a project manager and the co-lead for the AMA’s extensive project management curriculum. There he worked with facilitators, designers, and global thought leaders to update existing programs and develop new initiatives, while earning his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
After leaving the AMA, Joseph joined Colgate-Palmolive as the lead project manager in their Global Learning department. There, he served as PM on multiple international learning and development initiatives, impacting thousands of employees worldwide. Joseph later served as project manager for learning and development consultant GP Strategies, working with multiple Fortune 500 clients in the automotive, energy and tech sectors to launch employee training initiatives around the globe.
