Katrina Pugh Keynotes Southern African Knowledge Management Summit

Katrina Pugh, Director of the Information and Knowledge Strategy master's program, keynoted the Southern African Knowledge Management Summit. The three-day event provided “a platform to showcase and interrogate the strategic value and practices of knowledge management as a key management discipline for the 21st century.”

In her speech to attendees, Pugh shared her four discussion disciplines, which are a cornerstone of the Information and Knowledge Strategy curriculum. Collaborators should have integrity and courtesy, be inclusive, and continually translate, she says.

Pugh, who delivered her keynote via Skype, was assisted at the event by Amy Cipolat and Melanie Sutton. Cipolat writes about knowledge strategy as well; she highlighted her collaboration with Pugh in a recent LinkedIn post.
