Columbia Sports Management Program Ranked #2 Worldwide

Out of hundreds of programs, SportBusiness International has ranked Columbia University’s Master of Science in Sports Management program #2 globally in its 2016 Postgraduate Sports Course Rankings, ascending from its #3 global ranking in 2015.

The Columbia program, under the leadership of director Vince Gennaro, additionally secured a #2 ranking among the top American courses and a #3 ranking in the “Graduates’ Choice” category, which is based on feedback from alumni.

Now in its fifth year, the SportsBusiness rankings draw entries from postgraduate sports management programs around the world. Only postgraduate-level offerings that are 100 percent related to the business and administration of sport, and have been running for at least three consecutive years, are considered. Alumni of the submitted offerings are surveyed on topics including whether they secured employment within the sports industry upon graduation and their views on the quality of instruction.

The full rankings will appear in a special supplement in the July edition of SportBusiness International, to be published June 30, 2016.
