Joshua Burgher is the Senior Vice Dean at Columbia University, leading operations for the School of Professional Studies. He has also been a Lecturer with the School of Professional Studies since 2011. Most recently, Burgher was Vice President for Finance and Program Analytics at Georgetown University, leading finance, strategic planning and analytics, and institutional research for the Main Campus. Prior to his roles in academics, he was a management consultant at Ernst & Young, focusing on finance and performance management, as well as M&A transaction support services, primarily for the media, entertainment, and communications sectors. He was also one of the first employees at a successful startup company that was ultimately acquired by Alcatel-Lucent.
Burgher has an MBA from Columbia University, an M.S. in Engineering and Technology Management from Colorado School of Mines, and a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Purdue University. Currently he is completing his Ph.D. in Management at Cass Business School (UK) and TIAS School for Business and Society (The Netherlands).
