Paula Pavlou

Part-Time Lecturer

Paula Pavlou started her career in commercial banking focusing on evaluating the financial position and performance of corporate clients seeking financing, assessing their creditworthiness, and ensuring assumed credit risk was in line with the organization’s risk appetite.

Subsequently, Paula transitioned into corporate taxation holding positions in public accounting and industry concentrating on tax risk with an emphasis on tax reporting, tax compliance, and tax process transformation.

Currently, Paula is focusing on helping organizations develop, execute and manage their enterprise risk management and business resilience programs.  Paula has adopted the following approach to organizational risk management: Every single employee is a risk owner accountable for risk management within their respective areas of responsibility.

In addition to holding a Global Executive MBA from TRIUM (a consortium of three schools; NYU Stern, London School of Economics, and HEC Paris), Paula has a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Rutgers University.  Paula is a CPA licensed in the State of New Jersey and holds a COSO Enterprise Risk Management Certificate from the Institute of Internal Auditors.
