Ivan Bakrac

Head of Treasury, ConsenSys

Ivan Bakrac's professional focus centers on emerging and disruptive technologies, which encompass digital assets, cryptocurrencies, blockchain applications and protocols, financial machine learning, AI, and predictive analytics.

Ivan is currently the Head of Treasury at ConsenSys, responsible for leading Treasury Management. Before assuming this role, he served as a digital assets risk manager at a crypto platform. With a career spanning two decades, Ivan has held various positions, including fixed income portfolio manager, global macro investor, digital assets strategist, quantitative consultant, and data analytics expert, with a particular focus on integrating financial data science and artificial intelligence into asset management. His previous roles include Head of Multi-Sector Fixed Income Portfolio Management at Invesco, Lead Fixed Income Portfolio Manager, and Co-Head of Quantitative Strategies at Franklin Templeton Investments.

Ivan holds a Master of Science in Financial Analytics and Data Science from Stevens Institute of Technology, as well as a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at several prestigious institutions. At Berkeley College Business School, he teaches Global FinTech, AI, and Blockchain, as well as Business Data Science (BDS). Furthermore, he holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Practice for Emerging Technologies at Wake Forest University, Adjunct Professor for Blockchain Technologies at Stevens Institute of Technology, and Adjunct Faculty Lecturer for Blockchain and ERM at Columbia University.
