Daniel D. Walker

General Auditor, Brown Brothers Harriman

Daniel D. Walker is the general auditor for Brown Brothers Harriman in New York. He possesses more than 20 years of risk and control leadership experience, which includes reporting to the Board/Audit Committee as the chief audit executive for multiple complex global financial organizations. Daniel spent more than ten years in the internal audit function at American Express. His most recent role at that organization was the internal audit executive responsible for third-line defense coverage of U.S Banking, risk management, operations, and finance. Prior to that, he designed, developed and deployed an enterprise-wide risk control framework at Credit Suisse. 

Daniel possesses extensive global experience having worked in more than a dozen countries on six of the seven continents. He began his career at Andersen (formerly Arthur Andersen LLP) where he worked for more than five years in both Los Angeles and New York City providing external financial statement assurance for multiple publicly traded banks and financial services organizations.
