Gary Sasala

Associate, American Language Program

Gary Sasala joined the American Language Program in 2012, where he currently excels in teaching Advanced Academic Writing to undergraduates, fostering creative and critical thinking through interactive lessons incorporating media and technology. Additionally, he serves as an instructor for Advanced Academic English tailored for Graduate Students, specializing in pragmatic suprasegmental features to enhance students' proficiency in speech and pronunciation for academic presentations and data commentary.

With Ph.D. work focused on second language writing acquisition and a wealth of teaching experiences spanning across the globe, including positions at Azabu University in Tokyo, Japan, Stony Brook University, the Fashion Institute of Technology at Songdo in South Korea, and a prestigious internship for teacher training in Paris, France, he has had the privilege of enriching the educational journeys of a diverse array of students. His commitment to excellence in teaching and his ability to adapt to different cultural and linguistic contexts underscore his dedication to fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
