Michael Chwick

Lecturer; Attorney, Negotiator, Educator

Michael Chwick is an accomplished professional with over 30 years of diverse experience as an educator, labor negotiator and attorney. As an educator for a diverse, urban-suburban public school system, Michael has taught US History, Law & Government and Business Law.   

As chief negotiator, and member of the Leadership Council, of a diverse 1300 member public-employee labor union he represented the membership in all collective bargaining matters, including researching, developing strategies and leading negotiations for an urban-suburban public school district providing educational services for over 10,000 students. He negotiated several successor collective bargaining agreements, one-year “roll-over” agreements, and incidental agreements including state mandated Annual Professional Performance Review agreements. As a member of the Leadership Council, he assisted in developing union policy and advising the president of the union on a variety of policy and legal matters. 

As an attorney, Michael continues to represent select clients in various legal matters and is admitted to the New York Bar and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
