Dr. Robert Klitzman Appears on the Mitch Albom Show Podcast To Talk Covid-19 Vaccines

Mitch Albom, an alumnus of Columbia Journalism School and Columbia Business School, is host of the Mitch Albom show, where he interviews Dr. Robert Kliztman about his recent CNN article regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. Albom asks, “what is the problem with trying to make decisions on medical care based on someone’s vaccination status?” Dr. Klitzman responds that doctors must always administer fair treatment to all patients, whether they suffer from obesity, due to overeating, or liver failure, due to alcoholism. Doctors will still give these patients treatment without judgement. This same notion should be applied to the unvaccinated.

The podcast then continues on to the topic of mental health. “Doctors and nurses are really stressed out, they have been fighting this for 18 months since the beginning of the pandemic,” sympathizes Dr. Klitzman. “We do need to deal with the fact that doctors are angry, but we still need to treat these patients.”
