Jane Aboyoun

Officer & Vice President, Technology, New York Public Library

The New York Public Library is the 2nd largest public library in the United States, behind only the Library of Congress. As Officer & Vice President, Technology, Jane Aboyoun is tasked with developing the technology strategy and execution plan to help move the New York Public Library from a beloved and trusted city library into the digital 21st century. Aboyoun has been the architect of a complex, multiyear technology transformation at the Library. This includes supporting services in 88 branch libraries and 4 scholarly research facilities The New York Public Library serves over 17 million users in person on site and millions more online.

Prior to joining the New York Public Library, Aboyoun held executive technology roles at several global organizations. She served at the CTO for Asset International Inc., a leading provider of critical data, business intelligence, and information services for the global investment management community. Aboyoun also held the CIO position for Bertelsmann Media, a direct marketer of books, music and DVD’s to millions of members online. She was also the CIO for Reed Business Information, a division of Reed Elsevier, a B2B publishing organization with over 100+ publications, 75 web properties, and numerous online products.

In addition to earning an B.S. and M.B.A., Aboyoun also completed a Strategic Leadership program at Harvard University.

Aboyoun resides with her family in Brooklyn, NY.
