Dr. Yvette Burton to Advise on Talent Strategy for Federal Reserve Board

The Master of Science in Human Capital Management program at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies has taken a role in “setting the course of talent strategy” for the Federal Reserve Board, says Academic Director Dr. Yvette Burton.

The Office of Inspector General (OIG), which provides independent oversight of the Federal Reserve Board to improve their programs and operations, has invited Dr. Burton to include her perspective in its evaluation of the Board’s existing workforce planning processes, and to help identify best practices for implementing such planning going forward.

The OIG first approached Dr. Burton because of her dual roles as a leading academic and a global business strategist with extensive private sector experience, most recently as Vice President, Workforce Solutions and Intelligence, for Lockheed Martin. As an advisor for the OIG’s benchmarking efforts, she joins a select group of individuals from other academic institutions, public- and private-sector organizations, and central banks.
