The University provides a full range of services and accommodations to assist students with disabilities. Upon acceptance into the program (or by June 1st at the latest), students requiring assistance should register with Disability Services. Only students who identify their disabilities well in advance can be assured of accommodation upon their arrival on campus.
Residential students requiring special dormitory accommodations on the basis of documented disabilities should also email email@example.com by May 1st.
Program students can be seen on a walk-in basis by Urgent Care at Columbia Health Services.
Health Services, located on the second floor of John Jay Hall, is normally open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the summer. Students should be escorted by a program resident adviser or program assistant.
The Columbia University Libraries comprise 25 libraries that hold over 9 million volumes, 65,650 current serials, and an extensive collection of resources in electronic form.
Program participants have access to the Columbia University Libraries. Because the programs of study are short in duration, students may enjoy reading room, but not borrowing, privileges.
Students have access to computer clusters and laboratories throughout the campus. These facilities range from informational kiosks to high-end workstations to walk-in consulting centers.
Students are able to connect to the wireless network anywhere on campus.
Columbia's Dodge Physical Fitness Center provides students with access to:
- three floors of cardiovascular and strength equipment
- a 160 meter indoor running track
- an eight-lane 25-yard pool
- multi-sport gymnasia
- 10 squash courts
