Timothy Bloom is an Enterprise Risk Management Professional with over 20 years of experience in building and implementing risk frameworks, managing multiple large-scale projects and working with Senior Management / Board member to align risk with strategy.
Currently, Timothy is the Director of Enterprise Risk Management at SoFi (Social Finance), a modern finance company taking an unprecedented approach to lending and wealth management based in San Francisco. He is responsible for building out SoFi’s new ERM department. His work focuses on creating enterprise-wide risk frameworks and taxonomies, while developing risk partnerships with critical stakeholders across the firm, and successfully integrating the Enterprise Risk Management architecture and culture within all lines of business.
For 8 years, Timothy was the Senior Director of Enterprise Risk Management for NASDAQ where he oversaw all ERM activities for US business lines and operations. Prior to that, Timothy worked as a Director in NASDAQ’s Internal Audit group where he led various risk assessment, quantification, and mitigation efforts globally and helped with integration efforts during their International expansion. Prior to that Tim worked in risk consulting for Protiviti and within Operational groups for Morgan Stanley.
