Susan Parker

Susan Parker is an experienced business professional with a passion for educating and developing talent. Susan has over 10 years of Corporate Finance and Leadership experience that she brings to her role as Lecturer for the MHBO course.

Susan was most recently a Program Manager at Braven, a non-profit organization that empowers first-generation college students, students from low-income backgrounds, and students of color to successfully transition from college to strong first jobs. Susan led the Career Booster program, a career readiness boot-camp for recent graduates negatively impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prior to her most recent role, Susan was a Corporate Finance Director at Prudential Financial, a Fortune 500 financial services firm. During her 9+ years at Prudential, Susan held several roles of increasing responsibility supporting Prudential’s various businesses and global operations, including the US Annuities and Asset Management and Japanese Life Insurance businesses. While at Prudential, she co-led the Prudential-Rutgers Connection, an employee engagement group for Rutgers Alumni and the Rutgers Finance recruiting team. She was also a leader of Prudential’s women’s initiatives and served as a mentor for Prudential’s MBA Women in Business Mentoring Circles program.

Susan is an entrepreneur, the owner of MSC Events, LLC., an event planning company. She is a member of The Financial Women’s Association of NY, for which she served as a college mentor and Signature Events Chair on the Leadership Council.
