Lecturer; Corporate Vice President, Corporate Compliance, New York Life Insurance Company
Nabeed Zaman is a Corporate Vice President in the Corporate Compliance Department at New York Life Insurance Company. Since joining New York Life in 2015, Zaman has led various initiatives focused on internal controls, operational governance, process re-engineering, and regulatory compliance.
Currently, Zaman is responsible for administering and modernizing the compliance oversight program for New York Life’s retail broker-dealer, including the development of data-driven testing, surveillance, and predictive analytics capabilities to enhance regulatory posture and create measurable business value.
Prior to this role, Zaman managed a first-line risk and control team within New York Life’s Insurance and Agency Group that was responsible for coordinating audit and regulatory engagements as well as evaluating and reporting on the design and effectiveness of internal controls to mitigate operational and regulatory risk. Zaman has extensive experience analyzing, framing, and communicating complex risks as well as partnering with business leaders to influence strategic decisions and optimize operational health.
Prior to joining New York Life, Zaman held roles in consumer banking with JPMorgan Chase and TD Bank.
