jr3703 [[at]] columbia [[dot]] edu (Jin Hi Rheem) is the Deputy Program Director for the M.S. in Technology Management Program at Columbia University School of Professional Studies. She acts as the primary liaison between Columbia University and the Program’s academic, professional, and industry communities and takes an active leadership role in the management of the Program and its curriculum development. She is also responsible for creating strategic plans for key Program components such as marketing, admissions, student life, and academic affairs.
Prior to commencing her career in Higher Education, Jin Hi worked as a structured finance and capital markets attorney at some of the world’s leading international law firms, where she led teams of lawyers executing complex multi-jurisdictional transactions. Many of these transactions were the subject of industry awards and were the first of their kind in particular jurisdictions. She has lived and worked in Europe (London), Asia (Hong Kong and Japan), and the Middle East (Abu Dhabi).
As well as being a structured finance and capital markets attorney, Jin Hi has devoted a considerable amount of her academic career to the areas of alternative dispute resolution. She is a trained mediator and restorative justice specialist, having completed her LLM dissertation on Restorative Justice (an area that she continues to focus on and research).
