Lecturer; Senior Project Manager at CBRE, Inc.

Grace Lin, Senior Project Manager at CBRE, Inc., is a seasoned professional who has extensive knowledge and experience in construction project management. Her 30 years of experience is complemented by a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture with a New York professional license. She graduated from Columbia University with two Master of Science degrees, in Construction Administration and in Sustainability Management.

After working for global architectural firms, she transitioned into the Owner side in 2010, and joined Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where she spent six years in capital planning, design, and construction project management, led a multidisciplinary project team, and delivered all phases of capital improvement projects for a large institution. Her previous roles from “both sides of the fence” of being an Owner and a consultant cultivated her talents at both big picture ideas and executing details. Her insights and broad perspectives benefit strategic thinking and master planning.

As a senior project manager at CBRE Healthcare, she assembles and leads a project team of diverse professional disciplines. She is the catalyst that ensures project requirements and client’s goals are met. She oversees planning, design, scope, budget, schedule, quality, risk mitigation, and safety of the capital projects; financial stewardship fostering sustainability to optimize the cost of capital. She sets out procurement strategies and project delivery blueprints, and supports clients’ businesses and operational requirements. Grace’s architectural background, abilities in design and construction administration, zoning, ADA compliance, code and legalization, regulatory interface for compliance and permitting, design consulting and management services promote real estate development, capital facility program, and facilities management. Her broad-based knowledge and multi-market experiences accumulated from various sectors--Healthcare, Life Science, Higher Education, Residential, Retail, Commercial, Financial Institutions, Corporate Workplaces, Hospitality, and Government--which have fostered innovation and facilitated mixed-use development that drive efficiency and lead projects to successful outcomes.
