Grace Lin

Lecturer, Construction Administration; Senior Project Manager at CBRE, Inc.

Grace is a seasoned professional. She is a senior project manager at CBRE, a global real estate company, where she performs as an Owners’ representative delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle. She provides strategic input and recommendations on development strategy, planning, design, and construction project delivery, and other capital project management functions. She sets out procurement strategies and project delivery blueprints that support clients’ businesses and operational requirements. She implements customized services from project inception to completion that minimize client risks and optimize project outcomes.

After working for global architectural firms, she transitioned into the Owner side in 2010. Her previous roles from “both sides of the fence” of being an Owner and a consultant cultivated her talents at both big picture ideas and executing details. Her insights and broad-based knowledge benefit real estate development, master planning, capital facility programs, architecture and interior design consulting, and sustainability management services. Her broad-based knowledge and multi-market experiences accumulated from various sectors have fostered innovation and facilitated multi-use development that drive efficiency and lead projects to successful outcomes.

Grace holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and is a licensed architect in New York.  She graduated from Columbia University with two Master of Science degrees, in Construction Administration and in Sustainability Management.

Grace is the former chair (2019-2020) of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Project Delivery Knowledge Community. She continually serves on the AIA PDKC advisory group. She also serves on the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Association of Medical Facilities Professionals (AMFP) program steering committees. She is a member of the Integration/Automation Advisory Board for Building Catalyst, a SaaS for preconstruction. She is a Construction Document Technologist certified by the Construction Specification Institute (CSI) and a designated Design-Build professional certified by the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). She takes great initiative in helping others to grow and thrive within the industry.
