Lecturer; Associate Vice President, Strategy, NBA G League (NBA)
As Associate Vice President, G League Strategy, Eric Sherman is responsible for the long-term growth of the NBA G League as it continues as the NBA’s premier development system for the next generation of NBA superstars and internal R&D engine. He leads key strategic league initiatives across both business and basketball as the G League expands to its desired “30 for 30” single affiliation model.
Prior to his focus on the NBA G League, Sherman spent time as a graduate intern within the NBA’s Team Marketing & Business Operations group with a focus on Strategy and Analytics. Previously, he worked in financial services as a member of the Special Opportunities Group at Blackrock, a product development team responsible for identifying, marketing, structuring, and managing investments in opportunities driven by dislocations in global financial markets.
Sherman graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics and Management and later received his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar. He currently resides on Long Island with his wife and two daughters.
