Lecturer; Project Manager, Tishman Construction
Carolyn Caranante is a NYC Licensed Architect and Project Manager at Tishman Construction and Lecturer for the Master of Science in Construction Administration at Columbia University. Carolyn is currently teaching a Master’s course in Advanced Project Management.
Carolyn specializes in managing high-risk projects as they relate to schedule and budget. Her primary focus is on the architectural details, and she works closely with the design team and field trades to troubleshoot field issues as they arise, and make design decisions where required. Carolyn has managed architectural work on several iconic superstructures in NYC including One World Trade Center, Manhattan West’s Northeast Tower lobby, and currently One Vanderbilt’s Observation Deck.
Carolyn graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Master’s of Science in Architecture, Engineering and Construction Management. She began her career assisting in the design of sets for daytime television soap operas. Carolyn’s international work experience includes designing a corporate pavilion for the 2010 World Expo is Shanghai, China. She also worked locally planning and renovating houses in Staten Island, NY. Her interests include creating artwork for clients, designing high end interiors, and learning about new building processes for high rise construction.
