Anne Witkavitch

Lecturer

Anne Witkavitch is a strategic communication and PR professional who has taught in higher education for more than 10 years. She is experienced in all disciplines of internal and external communication with a strong track record driving employee engagement, change management and business transformation in Fortune 100 companies.

Witkavitch has held leadership roles at Aetna, The Hartford Financial Services Group, and the General Electric Company. She has worked in a variety of industries, including financial services, insurance, health care, technology and manufacturing. In addition to her corporate roles, she has independently provided consulting, executive training, writing/editing and social media services for a variety of clients. She is a certified Six Sigma green belt.

A writer at heart, Witkavitch holds a Master of Fine Arts in creative and professional writing and a Bachelor of Arts in English. She is a published author and her book, Press Pause Moments: Essays about Life Transitions by Women Writers received a 2011 Clarion award from the Association for Women in Communications. During her career, she’s written about everything from ski conditions to perfume, circuit breakers to supply chain financing, sensors to insurance, the Internet of Things to robotic journalism, and has created speeches, executive presentations, strategic plans, scripts, Q&A, promotional copy, annual report copy, press releases, magazine articles, blog posts, social media content, websites, trade articles, and nonprofit materials.
